Teacher: These are some of the text types you can encounter on a daily basis. You might not need to write all of them but it is useful to know them and how they are set-up. How many of these are you already familiar with?

There are 3 types of interview articles

  • Narrative essay interview
  • Question-answer interview
  • Personal interview

Teacher: Today our focus will be on interviews. Last lesson you saw a few videos with interviews. Today we are going to look at how to write out an interview

Students: Listen
Features dialogue, when interviewing one or more related people.
Written in first or second person. It closely resembles a question-answer discussion but with direct quotes, the tone can be formal or informal.
Show the interview from a particular point of view. It takes the emotional aspects of the discussion and requires a story-like format.
