De betekenis is hetzelfde, beide betekenen 'veel' of een synoniem daarvan. 

Er zit echter een verschil in gebruik:

Much - uncountable

Many - countable

A lot of + lots of 1/2

Use these when there is a large number or amount of something.

You can can use them before nouns you can count and nouns you cannot count.

There is no rule which of the two you should use. You can choose.

A lot of + lots of 2/2

Example:

A lot of/ lots of people showed up at the demonstration.

A lot of/ Lots of employees were happy with their Christmas present.

De betekenis van beide woorden is ongeveer hetzelfde. Afhankelijk van waar het over gaat kies je tussen onder andere:

Een paar, een beetje, weinig, enz

• uncountable
• We have little time left to catch the train.

• A few of my friends are coming over for my birthday tonight.

Little does not mean ''klein'' in this case
