Camille was a French sculptor who worked alongside Auguste Rodin. Although she was very talented, she didn’t receive much recognition in her time. Today, she is praised for her emotional and innovative sculptures.
Rosalind Franklin (1920-1958)
Rosalind was a British scientist who helped discover the structure of DNA. Her research was key to the work of Watson and Crick, but she didn’t get the credit she deserved during her lifetime.
She refused to give up her bus seat to a white man.

Dolores Huerta (1930-)
Dolores is an activist who fought for the rights of farmworkers in the U.S. She co-founded the United Farm Workers Union and worked for fair wages and better working conditions.
These women became famous in the 1970s and have had a lasting impact on their fields and on society.
