Bangkok, Thailand's capital, is often a stopover for travelers heading to other parts of the country. Despite its noise and pollution, it's worth exploring for its exciting culture and attractions. Instead of the tourist-heavy Khao San Road, consider staying in Phra Kanong for a more authentic experience, with local markets and Skytrain access. In order to avoid heavy traffic, use river boats for historic sites and the Skytrain for modern areas. Furthermore, Thai street food is widely available and affordable, especially in Chinatown.
