Slide 27 - Open vraag

What is distortion of Media?
Our knowledge and understanding of the world is significantly influenced by news and current affairs, reported by the media. This media can sometimes be exaggerated or 'distorted'. It is in our best interest to understand and decide what is 'real' and what is 'not real'.

The main issue associated with media distortion, is photo manipulation. Photo manipulation is nearly as old as photography itself, but modern technology has made it common and far too easy to do. Using photo editing software, almost anyone can make big changes to an image, from adjusting colours and lighting, to adding and removing content.
