Regulation of the blood glucose (sugar) level

Hormones produced in the pancreas- Islets of Langerhans

insulin: 

• uptake of glucose from the blood into the cells 
• storage of glycogen (glucose) in the muscles and liver. ​
  

Glucagon:

changes glycogen into glucose
