Slide 1 - Tekstslide

simple future tense
This verb tense is used to express an action that will take place in the future. It's generally reserved for something that will begin and end in the future. It's a statement of fact, made with certainty.

1) will+ verb (shall+ verb is also grammatically correct, but isn't as popular anymore)
"I will travel to Greece tomorrow," or, "I shall travel to Greece tomorrow."

2)to be + going to + verb. For example, "I am going to eat a sandwich in Greece tomorrow," or, "We are going to sit by the sea."

future continuous 
when:
1) actions in progress in the future: we'll be interviewing candidates all afternoon.
2) planned future events: the students will be having a big party at the end of term.
3) assumptions about something that is happening now:
Don't call Luke. He will be doing his homework now.
how: will be + ww+ing

future perfect 
when: Actions completed before a certain time in the future.

how: will have + ww+ed/ third row 

example: Call me around seven. I'll have finished dinner by then.

I will have been here for six months on June 23rd.
By the time you read this I will have left.
You will have finished your report by this time next week.
Won't they have arrived by 5:00?
Will you have eaten when I pick you up?

present simple
1) to talk about events happening in the near future
ex: the lesson ends at 7pm
2) to talk about future facts
ex: the school year starts in September 
3) with schedules, plans & timetables
ex: the train leaves at 6am

Quantifiers 
when: you use the quantifiers to indicate a the amount of quantity of a noun. (hoeveelheidsaanduiding)
some/any
much/many
(a)few/(a)little

any = negative and question sentences

much= uncountable nouns (negative and question)

many = Countable nouns (negative and question)

A lot/lots of = affirmative sentences (positive)
