Preparation - Answering questions

Step 1: Read the question and understand it

Step 2: Read only that one section

Step 3: Underline 'the keywords' 

Step 4: Answer the question in your own words, then check the multiple choice options

Search and scan

Look for subheadings,  pictures and dates

Who/what/when questions

Usually several options, you need to pick the right one

Usually a BUT (closed on Sundays...), don't fall for it

Information and news articles

Longer text- introduction/middle/conclusion

Each "block" has a main message, find that one first

Still go question - by - question

Don't forget to consider the whole text even so

opinions and letters

Usually start with the description of a situation

Then explain something

Finally ask for something or give the opinion
