What do you always have to do?

• Always take a notebook with you to class. 
• Write down the grammar rules in your notebook.
• Write other important stuff in your notebook.

No notebook (or an empty one) means that you've forgotten your work.

Create a vocabulary list at the end of your notebook. This broadens your vocabulary and help you remember more.

• Watch the video. Work together with a classmate and discuss and answer questions 1-3.

1 What did the three kids, Reagan, Barbara and Jet, invent?

2 What did they win?

3 Would you buy one of their inventions? Explain your answer.

• Exercise 51a

Read and listen to Stone 6.

Work together with a classmate. Take turns reading a sentence out loud.

48c After watching

• Team up with another duo. 
• Which ways of warning were new to you? 
• Which ones did you already know? 
• Discuss your answers.

Write down these words and try to pronounce them.

By yourself

• Think about a new gadget you would like to have. Which sentences from Stone 6 apply to that gadget? 

With your classmate

• Tell your sentences to your classmate. Use the correct pronunciation.

52 - Describing inventions

In pairs

• Have a look at the inventions on the pictures on the right page. Pick one invention and describe it to your classmate. Use Stone 6. Switch roles.

Explain in class.

53a+c - Find out the meaning

With your classmate

• Read the Theme words.
  
• Fill in the correct Dutch translations of the words. You can use a dictionary.
• One of you reads out a Theme word that has to do with energy, and the other writes it down. Take turns until you found all five of them.

Exercise 55a+b -Talk with a classmate

With your classmate

• Go online and find the latest mobile phone you would like to have. 
• Describe the phone in 4 or 5 sentences. Use Stone 6.
• Make sure you use the correct pronunciation (use Google if necessary). 
• Work together with a classmate. Tell your classmate why this phone is the best phone available at the moment.
