PRESENT SIMPLE: QUESTIONS & NEGATIONS
We gebruiken het werkwoord to do om vraagzinnen en ontkenningszinnen te maken.
De werkwoorden to be (am/are/is), can en to have got  zijn uitzonderingen op deze standaardregel.

Het werkwoord to do wordt als volgt vervoegd:
  • I /you/we/they       do      :     I like chocolate             Do I like chocolate?
  • He/ she/it                does  :    She likes chocolate    Does she like chocolate?

PRESENT SIMPLE: QUESTIONS
Bij vragen begint de zin met Do of Does

I feel good. -> Do you feel good?
He looks happy. -> Does he look happy?

Let op: omdat we het werkwoord to do vervoegen voor he / she / it naar  does, zetten we het andere werkwoord in de volledige werkwoordsvorm. Looks -> look
