KISS - keep it short and simple
Break your message down into paragraphs (alinea's)
  1. Why are you writing? What is the topic (onderwerp)?
  2. What do you want the reader to do/know?
  3. Closing = conclusion/summary/ suggest possible follow-up 

Try to keep your sentences (zinnen) readable.
