Introductie

In this activity, students listen to a story read by you, with their eyes closed. The story is accompanied by cinematic or calming music. Afterwards, the students create a visualisation (drawing) of what they have seen.

Choosing the right music can enrich your story's atmosphere, helping students engage more deeply.

How to Implement:

• Select a story or scenario that aligns with your lesson goals.
• Create a slide with a fitting image and a short music clip (max 2.5 mins).
• Ensure the text and music duration match. Set audio to 'repeat' if needed.

During the Lesson:

• Show the slide on the main screen.
• Ask students to close their eyes, play the music, and narrate the story.
• Afterwards, let students draw what they envisioned from the story.
• Students photograph their drawing and upload it with a photo question. If not possible, try a 'walking' gallery where your learners can visit each drawing!

Variation 1: Use different music for the same story and discuss its impact.

Variation 2: Experiment with scents or props, like incense or milk, to enhance the story's realism.

Variation 3: Assign different stories to students and let them choose music, either individually or in groups.

Incorporating sensory elements, especially sound, creates a memorable and engaging learning experience.
