In het Engels antwoord je nooit alleen met 'ja' of 'nee'. Je herhaalt altijd het werkwoord waarmee de vraag begint en het onderwerp.

Past Continuous

We use the past continuous to talk about the past:

  

- for something which happened before and after another action: 

a. The children were doing their homework when I got home.

Past Continuous

We use the past continuous to talk about the past:

  

- for something that happened before and after a specific time:

a. It was eight o'clock. I was writing a letter.
