I stand at the front door. My hand is on the door. Inside. I am still inside! I am afraid to open the door. I am afraid to go outside. Why?

When I play video games, I am brave. I do everything. I jump out of helicopters. I run over mountains. I fly over oceans. It is easy. I shoot at everything. I play like a beast. It is a bit scary, I admit.

But now, I stand here. I feel like a small child. My knees shake at the front door. I am afraid to walk away from my own house. But I must. I cannot stay here. What can happen if I go outside? Maybe someone is there. Maybe they hurt me when I open the door.

No! That is impossible. This is not a game. I can get a panic attack from the stress. Haha, that is too dramatic. Just excuses to stay inside. Come on! Do not be weak! Get some courage! Be strong!

I pull my backpack higher on my shoulders. I take a deep breath. In through the nose... out through the mouth... pffffff. There we go. I open the door and I step outside.
