Learning Objective
At the end of the lesson, you will be able to name and describe the four seasons of the year.
What do you already know about the different seasons?
What is a Season?
A season is a part of the year with different weather. There are four seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter.
Spring
In spring, flowers bloom, and the weather gets warmer. Animals have babies, and days get longer.
Summer
Summer is hot and sunny. It's time for swimming and playing outside. Days are long and nights are short.
Fall (Autumn)
In fall, leaves change color and fall from trees. The weather gets cooler, and nights get longer.
Winter
Winter is cold and snowy. Some animals hibernate, and we wear warm clothes. Days are short and nights are long.
Seasons Quiz
Let's play a game! Match the season with its picture. Which season has snow? Which season has colorful leaves?

Fill in the blanks
In spring, the weather is warm and the flowers start to bloom. The trees turn green again, and many animals have their babies. People like to go outside to enjoy the fresh air.
When summer comes, the days are hot and sunny. Children go swimming, eat ice cream, and play at the beach. Many families go on vacation during this season.
After summer, fall arrives. The weather becomes cooler, and the leaves on the trees change color — red, orange, and yellow. The wind blows, and the leaves fall to the ground.
Finally, winter is the coldest season. People wear coats, gloves, and hats. Sometimes it snows, and children build snowmen or drink hot chocolate.
Each season is special and beautiful in its own way!
