Adverb how to
An adverb says HOW something is done.
Example: The boy talks loudly.

An adverb is made by placing ly  after the adjective.

Careful! If a word ends on a y it becomes an i.
Example: pretty-prettily

But where does it go?
  • before the word it says something about
    Example: He loudly interrupted the teacher.
  • before the main verb (hoofdwerkwoord)
    Example: She has just given me a great idea.
  • after  a form of to be (am/are/is)
    Example: They are normally on time.
