- Today, we will look at the text and discuss it in depth without having to answer comprehension questions

- We will learn how we can use background knowledge and our own insights to comprehend the text

We will use: KWL method

K = what do you Know (Inference)

W = what do you Want to know

L = what have you Learned

K = What do you Know

1. Look at the title and the photo

2. write the key words about what do you already know about the topic...

STEP 1: What do we already know.
The title of the article is:
The Dilemma of Horns. Look at the photo.
What do you think the text will be about? What do you already know about the topic?
What, where, why, what happens..

STEP 2: W = what do we Want to find out?
Think of 3 questions that you think will be answered after you read the article?

Also copy-paste them on to your word document!

1. Write your questions for W (What do you Want to know)?

2. Read the article. Try to see if the article answers all your questions. Go back to the assignment 1 (What do you Want to know) and write YES, NO or PARTLY next to the question.

1. Read the text:   Better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all (Word.doc pg. 14)
