Filing your English materials

Make sure that apart from your workbook + notebook, you make a special folder on your laptop/Ipad for your digital English materials, such as the period planners. 

Next to that, make sure you have a paper or 

digital diary to write down deadlines & homework.

Start classes

1. DO NOT : put Ipads, computers or phones on your desk.

2. DO: put Open World book and your notebook on your desk.

NB: a dedicated notebook for English!!

3. Have your homework ready and be prepared for the homework check.

Assignment:

Tell your neighbour about your holidays.

• Where, how, with whom, for how long, etc.?
• What was the most amazing/bizarre/awful moment
• What's your dream holiday destination?

Weektask 35 and 36

In order to know your level of proficiency you need to take several diagnostic tests (formative tests) these weeks.

In your Magister study planner you'll find under 'diagnostic tests' an FCE Use of English and Reading test and a grammar test. Write your answers on the papers you receive from your teacher and bring these to class in week 37.

Book presentation

1. Find the file in the Studyplanner &
   read it through with your teacher.
2. Choose a book you like or think
   will like to read. It needs to be
    in English of course.
3. Have the teacher sign off on
   the book & you can start reading.

To do for next lesson:

1. Make a folder for your English files on your laptop/Ipad
2. Download the right files from Magister for Period 1: wordlist 1, studyplanner, book presentation assignment, etc.
3. Sign up for Lesson Up with classcode:  wnfwo
4. Take the diagnostic tests and bring your answers to class.
5. Make sure you understand the book presentation assignment + ask questions.
6. Choose a book to read + let the teacher sign off on it.
