1. PAST SIMPLE 

Talking about the past...

If you want to say something that happened

5 minutes ago, yesterday, 5 years ago, in 1994, a Century ago...

you use PAST SIMPLE tense

Example:

- The lesson started 5 minutes ago.

- The students went home early yesterday.

Miss Salehar moved to the Netherlands 5 years ago. 

WATCH OUT:

Different kinds of verbs!!

Rule for negative sentences

Add: "didn't"

Werkwoord:

GOING TO FORM

DIFFERENT PERSON:

1. I am going to fly to Spain.

2. She/he/it is going to fly to Spain.

3. They/we/you are going to fly to Spain.

QUESTIONS AND NEGATIVES:

(?) Is she going to fly to Spain?

(-) She isn't going to fly to Spain.

WILL FUTURE FORM

Different person:

I will have some soup. 

She will have some soup.

They will have some soup. 

Questions and negatives:

(?) Will she have some soup?

(-) She will not/won't have any soup.

GOING TO

1. I am going to fly to Poland during the school break. I got my flight tickets and my hostel booked.

WILL

Using SHALL instead of WILL

(with person: I and WE)
