Korte ja/nee-antwoorden

Het is in het Engels niet beleefd om alleen maar met Yes of No te antwoorden. Daarom antwoordt je met korte zinnen. In deze korte antwoorden herhaal je het eerste werkwoord uit de vraag.

Yes answer: Yes, + persoonlijk voornaamwoord (He/she/you, etc) + eerste werkwoord (have/is/etc).

Are you at home? Yes, I am.

Have you got a pet? Yes, I have.

Does he like dancing? Yes, he does. 

Is your sister a teacher? Yes, she is.

No, ....

No answer = No + persoonlijk voornaamwoord  + eerste werkwoord + n't/ not.

Can I call you? No, you can't.

Does your brother play the piano? No, he doesn't. 

Are you going to clean that up? No, I am not.

Have you got the new Iphone? No, I have not.
