Possessives

Possessive: 's/ '/ of 

• You add 's for a person, animal, country or organisation.

For night, day, month and year you also add 's. 

Example: That is Thomas's bike. 

• ' is used when the word is a plural that ends in s. 

Example: elephants - these elephants' feet are big. 

Possessive: 's/ '/ of 

• You add of for things that are NOT people, animals, countries or organisations. 
• Example: The name of the ship is Triton. 

Much vs. Many

For things that you can count, you use many. 

Example: We have many cakes to eat tonight. 

For things that you canNOT count, you use much. 

Example: You have so much candy in your bag!
