Obligation (verplichting) and Prohibition (verbod)

We use must and have to (both mean moeten)

I must go now, I don't want to be late. (You feel it's necessary)

I have to go now, school starts in five minutes. (external rule or obligation). Negative: you don't have to

Advice
We use should / shouldn't and ought to if we want to give advice.

You shouldn't stand on that ledge, you could fall off and hurt yourself.

You ought to do your homework!
