Week 43, class 1: Halloween story time

The Corn Maze, by Kris Bitar

This class, we are going to read a Halloween short story together. Listen to your teacher reading the story carefully, and read with them.

Why is the narrator excited?

1. He gets to stay up late on his Ipad?
2. He gets to share a room with his younger brother.
3. Max is going to stay home with their dad tomorrow.
4. He is going to the pumpkin patch with two friends.

Why does the narrator show videos to Max?

1. To make him scared of the pumpkin patch.
2. To help him see that pumpkins are funny.

• When he gets home, he realizes that it's okay not to like scray things much.
