Cells
Plants can either be unicellular or multicellular. Examples of unicellular plants are algae that live in the sea. However, most plants we know are multicellular.

Determining multicellular plants

When we want to organize multicellular plants, we mostly look at the way they reproduce and the organs that they have. We will start with the most ''basic'' plants, and end with the more ''complicated'' plants.

Mosses and liverworts 
Mosses and liverworts are plants that have no flowers, and no proper stems or roots. They reproduce by making spores inside capsules

Ferns
Ferns don't have flowers as well, so they reproduce by making spores as well. However, they do have proper leafs, stems and roots.

Seed-making plants
The most known plants are the plants that make seeds to reproduce. We divide this group into two groups: the gymnosperms and the angiosperms.

Gymnosperms
Gymnosperms can make seeds, but still has no flowers. The seeds they make are not covered by a fruit, but often lie in a cone like structure. 

 The most famous group of gymnosperms are the conifers; all the needle trees are classified in this group.

Angiosperms
The last group of plants are the angiosperms. These are the plants that can make flowers, and the seeds they make are covered by fruits. (Dutch: bedektzadigen)
