STEP 2/Lesson 2:

Step  1

Brainstorm

Get into 6 groups

Teacher gives you paper

Decide which subject you will brainstorm (different one per group)

(history, geography, biology, art, IT, theatre)

Write down in three minutes everything you did this period

Now switch to a new table/subject (do all 6 subjects)

Now decide which subject you want to present

Try to have 1 group for every subject

Look at the brainstorm information

What will you present?

Remember to include - what you have learned for better or worse!

Now?

Tell your mentor/teacher what you have chosen and fill in the worksheet.

Decide who will do what

Rehearse!

Practise what you want to present

Need a laptop/poster paper?

Taste my culture competition

Who: Each mentor class

What: Bring food from your country of birth

Why?: Let you and parents learn new cultures and foods and to win a prize!

Where: The aula

How: Bring in food from the different culture. Make a disply table in the aula (decide how you will decorate it)

A team of judges will decide which class has made the most beautiful display.

What type of food could you bring to let others taste from your country?

Do you know any special stories about this food?

Now?

Tell your mentor/teacher what you have chosen and fill in the worksheet.
