Prepositions of Place I
ON, IN, AT kun je gebruiken bij TIJD (we'll meet in ten minutes, on Monday at 10 a.m.) 
maar ook bij PLAATSEN

ON     oppervlaktes & openbaar vervoer
             Your bag is on the table.
              I'm on the bus.
IN       wegen, steden, landen en binnen andere grote gebieden (oosten/westen etc.) én voor afgesloten ruimtes
             My aunt lives in Meadow Road in London.
             The shop is in the east part of the town.
              We are in the classroom.
AT     huisnummers en namen van gebouwen
             We are at school.
              He lives at number 11.

next to the park (naast)
behind the door (achter)
in front of the car (voor)
close to / near the beach (vlak bij)
within walking distance (binnen)
outside the village (buiten)     /    inside the building (binnen)
across the street (tegenover)

above            BOVEN / HOGER       over  alleen bij bedekte dingen óf beweging van een bepaald punt naar iets anders
 over                                           The plane was flying above / over the clouds.
                                                      He wore a raincoat over his suit.
                                                      He threw the ball over the fence.

under            ONDER                        under bij een plek direct onder iets, of als iets/iemand bedekt is.
below                                                   below als het gaat over een lager niveau, maar niet direct eronder.
                                                       She always hides her key under the flower pot.
                                                       A boxer may not hit below the belt.

between       TUSSEN                    between als het tussen twee dingen is.
among                                                among bij meerdere dingen.
