How do the waste products get collected?

At the transition from artery to capillary a part of the blood gets pushed out of the capillaries because of the high pressure

-> It becomes tissue fluid (dissolved oxygen and nutrients)

-> Also contains carbon dioxide and other waste products, gets partially reabsorbed by the capillaries

The rest of the tissue fluid flows into the lymphatic vessels

A bit similar to veins, how do they move the lymph, and where to?

Lymph nodes: purify the lymph (Important for the immunesystem!)
