• We kunnen de present continuous ook voor de toekomst gebruiken.
  
  
• We are eating fries tonight. (plan in de toekomst)
• She is moving to France. (ze gaat verhuizen)

• In de bevestigende vorm gebruiken we het to be + ww-ing
• I am playing the guitar.

• In de ontkennende vorm gebruiken we het to be + not + ww-ing
• I am not playing the guitar.
• She is not waking up the kids.
