FUTURE TENSES

Present Simple
Form: I sing / we sing / you sing / he sings
- Timetables
   - arrival and departure times
   - opening en closing times
   - beginning and ending times

Her train arrives at 5.05. The bus leaves at 3.
The shops close at noon. The bank opens at 10.
Lessons start at half past eight. The film ends at 21.30.

Going to Form:  I am going to sing  / He is going to sing / we are going to sing

Planned action    (preparations have been made) - 
We are going to paint this room blue, here’s the paint.. Egg, flour, milk… 
I’m going to bake pancakes! 

Prediction based on present evidence   (you can see/hear/smell now that  something is going to happen very soon) 
She’s going to have a baby.  (You can see she’s pregnant)
