🏔️ Highland climateHighland climates are found in mountainous areas. The temperature changes depending on the altitude – the higher you go, the colder it gets. Even if the region around the mountains is warm, the mountains themselves can be cool or snowy. There is often more rainfall and wind in highland areas.
Examples: The Alps (Europe), the Andes (South America), the Himalayas (Asia), the Rocky Mountains (North America).
🌾 Savanna climate
The savanna climate has two main seasons: a hot, rainy season and a dry season. Temperatures stay high all year, but rainfall is limited to certain months. The landscape includes grasslands with scattered trees. Many wild animals like lions, elephants, and zebras live in savannas.
Examples: Kenya, Tanzania, parts of South Africa, Northern Australia, parts of India and Brazil.
