And how would you correct it?
"How my day looks like"

Gebruik "What ... like" als je een beschrijving van iets gaat geven of daarom vraagt, dus bijvoorbeeld:

What's the weather like?

Dan vraag je naar hoe het weer is en verwacht je een antwoord als:

It is sunny, there are no clouds and it is quite hot.

Gebruik "How" als wilt weten hoe de staat van iets is. Verwacht dan een simpel antwoord terug.

How is the weather?

The weather is great.

If & When betekenen beide als of wanneer.

Bij if is de kans alleen enorm klein en gebruik je het als een voorwaarde of als  het ooit gaat gebeuren.

Bij when weet je zeker dat het gaat gebeuren of ga je er in ieder geval vanuit.

If he is on time, he can join our game.

When he is here, he can play the game.

Tip #1.

Maak een keuze tussen British English of American English.

This color is my favourite one for fall.

Tip #2.

Let op netheid.

! Werk met een titel en alinea's.

! Werk met hoofdletters, komma's en punten.

Tip #3.

Probeer herhaling van woorden of zinsstructuren te voorkomen en dus niet meer dan twee keer te gebruiken.

DUS NIET:

In the morning, I eat breakfast. 

In the afternoon, I eat lunch. 

In the evening, I eat dinner.

MAAR WEL:

The first thing I do when I get up is chew on my breakfast. For lunch I always eat a simple sandwich, whereas for dinner I enjoy a homemade meal.

Tip #4.

Werk met voegwoorden, in het Engels conjunctions, om langere zinnen te kunnen maken. Met dit soort woorden kun je twee korte zinnen aan elkaar plakken.

- At first, second, third (allereerst, ten tweede, derde)
