Would you rather... (Group exercise)

Reading time

Read in silence for 20mins

Only book/pen/paper on your desk.

Write down any words that you do not know.  We will dicuss them afterwards.

Time begins when everybody has started reading.

Dictation

You need: Pen and paper

Listen to me read out a passage from a news article.

Write down what you hear.

Think about interpunction (Capital letters, commas, full stops..).

There will be 7 sentences.

I will read slowly and repeat every sentence minimum two times.

Would you rather...

...work during the day or during the night?

...live a happy 50 years or a miserable 100 years?

...shave your head or wake up every morning at 6am?

Group exercise

In groups of 4

Come up with 4 Would you rather... sentences.

When you are finished give them to me.

I will then share them out with the other groups.

Discuss in your groups the sentences that you have received.
