Past simple? How much do you remember?

PAST SIMPLE --> verleden tijd

• REGELMATIGE EN ONREGELMATIGE WERKWOORDEN
• Signaalwoorden:  YESTERDAY, LAST NIGHT, WHEN I WAS 6, A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO, WHEN ..., ETC

Je gebruikt de Past Simple in 3 soorten zinnen:

1. bevestigende zinnen

2. vragende zinnen

3. ontkennende zinnen

Als je ergens mee bezig was in de verleden tijd en iets anders gebeurt er tussendoor.

Als twee dingen tegelijkertijd plaatsvinden en ongeveer even lang duren gebruik je twee keer de past continuous.

Er staat dan meestal while in de zin.

the history teacher was starting his lesson while the gardener was cutting the bushes
