Tell us briefly how you spent your summer break.

If you went on holiday:

- How did you travel? (transport)

- Where did you stay? (accomodation)

- Do you know how the trip was booked? (by your parents, a travel agent, online or in another way)

This week's lesson aim is:

Refreshing your memories today to get back into "Holiday planning".

This includes: getting (re-)aquainted with the vocabulary &

doing some activities to apply your knowledge about the              travelling by different means of transportation

Air travel task

          Work in pairs, use your notebook to write down what you find.

- Go to one of the flight searching websites 

- list the names of all the airlines that provide direct flights from any London airport to Edinburgh

- Identify the cheapest flight found by the search website for a one-way flight leaving on Monday -> write down the airline + cost

- Go to the website of the airline, search for the exact same flight and compare the prices. Are they the same? If not explain why you think this is.

Today's first task is related to coach travel.

=> as a starter we'll start with a wordweb on the whiteboard  to juggle your memory. 

Task coach trip: Use the extract (handout) from the National Express timetable to find the following information:

• Becca would like to travel from London to Inverness. At which station must she change coaches?
• Adam has a ticket for the 592 service from London to Dundee. Where will the coach stop for refreshments and for how long?
• Which days of the week does the 588 service from London to Inverness run?
