You use the definite article "the" to refer to a specific person or thing.
The president gave a speech. or
The books are on the table.
You leave out THE when you talk about people or things in general.
You also leave it out with certain buildings (hospital, church, school, university, prison) if you are there for its specific purpose.

Why do we use an imperative?
The imperative is used to give directions and orders, and to advise and warn people.
To make an imperative, you use the infinitive form of the verb.

What is it?
You use the present continuous to say that something is happening right now. Words and phrases that are often used with the present continuous are: Look! Listen! at the moment, right now, this instant.

I'm reading a wonderful book.
We are cooking dinner.
You can also use the present continuous to express annoyance or irritation. Then you use words like always, still, again.
