Why is reading literature important?

Learning goal:

1. I can understand a comic. 
2. I understand the terms character, literature and twist.

Let's start with the terms....

Go to page 223 of your workbook and answer the following questions in your notebook.

1. What is a comic?
2. What is a character?
3. What is literature?
4. What is a twist?

Comic = stripverhaal

Een verhaal dat verbeeld wordt in een aantal aaneengeschakelde afbeeldingen.

Character = personage / karakter

Een persoon in een literair werk.

Literature = literatuur

Erkende geschreven kunst in poëzie, proza (soort rijm) of toneel.

Twist = wending

Onverwachte verandering in het verhaal.

Reading literature

1. Go to page 88 of your workbook.
2. Make exercise 60, 61 and 62.

Preparing for the test

Students choice:

• Repeat the writing assignments from Chapter 1 on Stepping Stones online.
• Go to Stepping Stones online and practice with SLIM STAMPEN.

• Write the words from Chapter 1 into your notebook.
