What Is Hajj?

Hajj is the annual pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia, and it is one of the Five Pillars of Islam.

The primary chant or declaration recited by pilgrims during the Hajj (and Umrah) is called the Talbiyah

لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ ، لَبَّيْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ ، إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ والنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَالْمُلْكُ ، لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ

Who Must Perform Hajj?

When

Every adult Muslim who is physically and financially able to must perform Hajj once in their lifetime.

Hajj takes place during the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah.
