Basis of a good conclusion

1. Research objective is clear

2. Central question is answered

3. Concise results of sub-questions as far as they answer the main question

4. Critical without a full reflection, no new information & not just simply a summary of what was already said.

Looking back at the example conclusion, how would you rate it on the follow criterion: The student uses sentence structures that make sense and reflect clear and correct use of punctuation. Moreover, the student uses sentences of varying lengths. All this makes the text attractive to read.

Now rate the example for this criterion/give justification for your mark: The student uses words in the proper register, i.e. words that are appropriate for the purpose and target group and used in the right way. Moreover, the student's vocabulary is varied.

Now this one: The student only makes occasional spelling errors.

Lastly: The student provides a conclusion that is substantively linked to the guidelines and is well-structured, in terms of both logical argument and connecting language. (give examples of connecting language)

Unfortunately, I am not given time for expert feedback after the class period today but if you send me an Email with 50-100 words of your conclusion by Monday, November 15th at 9am, I will try to get you feedback on that portion of the conclusion (I will not give feedback on full conclusions!) by the end of the week.
