Slide 4 - Woordweb

Ergonomics
The study of the way products can be designed so that they produce the best experience for users

Slide 5 - Tekstslide

Draw around your hand (in your notebook). Measure the lengths of your fingers and the width of your palm. And add the sizes. Take a picture.

Slide 6 - Open vraag

Using models
To test proposals on the rigth athropometics and ergonomics, designers use ergonomes (a 2D human shape) and manikins (3D human form).
This way they can see the relationship between the product and the user.

Slide 7 - Tekstslide

Model
Models can be made from a variety of materials. Like we saw last week, with the materials used for architectural models.

Models are used for testing. And testing is important to check the function of the product and its relationship with the user.

Slide 8 - Tekstslide

Inclusive or exclusive design?
Inclusive design = design everyday products and services accessible and usable by as many people as possible.

Exclusive design = design products and services for a specific user group e.g. disabled people, elderly, children.

Slide 9 - Tekstslide
