GRAPHS to be drawn this paragraph.

First we do a part of the paragraph together.

If you participate well, you may SKIP a few exercises from the paragraph.

Steps of 60 is fine, because ...

1. you have to put 300 on the axis; then you need 300 : 60 = 5 cm.
2. the time goes from 0 to 5
3. the distances go up by 60 all the time
4. there is no zigzag needed

Yes. Because the height only starts at 120 cm.

Question: What is a good scale for the vertical axis 

of the corresponding Graph?

Solution: 260 - 120 = 140

140 : 20 = 7 , so if you use as a scale:    

 20 cm in table = 1 cm in graph, then you need 7 cm.

That's fine.

Now PLOT the GRAPH!   Remember:

1.  a zigzag at height 160 cm

2. scale on vertical axis: 20 cm in 1 cm.

Make your teacher happy: draw a beautiful graph!

NOTE 1:   First a handy TIP about the Tables: 

USE a DOUBLE TABLE - saves you some work.

NOTE 2:  An important remark in 13a is: 'Take the horizontal axis to 10.'
