Starter activity: video

We will watch a video on a family tree and the members of your family.

In your notebook write down all family members named in the video

Make your family tree:

• You have 15 minutes to make your own family tree
• Add the names of the people in your family
• You decide which parts of your family to include, but it does need to be a complete family tree.
• You will use the family tree in your (video) presentation so make it look nice (and make sure not to lose it!)

Present your Family tree:

• Present you family tree to the person next to you
• You need to do this in English 
• You have 5 minutes in total in whicjh you both need to present your family trees

Video assignment:

• Watch a video on the months of the year
• Do a months of the year speaking chain after we watch the video

We will practice the names of the month by pronouncing them in order.

Now that you know the months of the year and the numbers 1st to 31st you are able to tell me and the class when your birthday is.

Take a minute to write it down when I ask you, you will tell the class. 

Example: My birthday is on the 17th of April

Rubric assignment:

• I will hand out rubrics for the video assignment, read it through and write down anything you don't understand
• questions?
• You will use this for your presentation, so make sure that you don't lose it.
• Fill out the first three columns (5 mins)

Woordjes leren/ Vocabulary:

• Voor het leren van woordjes gebruiken we quizlet
• Download de app en maak een account aan
• Ik deel de links in google classroom (je kan ze ook in de itunesu studiewijzer vinden)
• Je gaat als je dit gedaan hebt de woorden van week 1 en 2 leren (dit doe je zelfstandig, je mag muziek luisteren)
• We stoppen 7 minuten voor het einde van de les met woordjes leren.

Huiswerk:

• Maak je family tree af
• Leer de woordjeslijsten van week 1 en week 2
• Zorg dat de eerste 3 blokken van je presentatie rubric gevuld zijn 
• Zorg dat je naar de volgende les digitale foto's en/of plaatjes op je ipad hebt voor je presentatie.
