You add -er/-est to compare things. 

Sometimes the spelling changes: 

• vowel (klinker) + consonant (medeklinker) = double the consonant 

big - bigger - biggest

• the word ends in e = add -r or -st

nice - nicer - nicest

In de brief mag persoonlijk taalgebruik gebruikt worden, maar het is wel belangrijk dat het een nette brief blijft.

• “How are the kids?” (Hoe gaat het met de kinderen?)

• Bij geliefden of familie kan ook “Love,” of “Lots of love,”
• Gebruik geen "Greetings,"

Dictionary use, what do you remember? 

In het Engels lijken werkwoorden (verbs) en zelfstandig naamwoorden (nouns) heel erg op elkaar:

Kijk naar: to insult - an insult (to slice - a slice)

• Bij een (heel) werkwoord staat altijd 'to'
• Bij een zelfstandig naamwoord staat 'a',  'an' of 'the'
• In het woordenboek staat bij een werkwoord 'ww'
• En bij een zelfstandig naamwoord 'zn'

Soms horen de woorden bij elkaar, en soms juist helemaal niet!

Voorbeelden:
