wie "who" is, is niet eerder genoemd

en de eerste "that" is een aanwijswoord

Find the relative pronoun in the following sentence: Pete knew all along who the man was who had stolen our suitcases?

Pete knew all along who the man was who had stolen our suitcases?

de tweede "who" verwijst naar "the man"

de eesste"who" verwijst niet naar iemand dat eerder is genoemd

In one of these four sentences you can DELETE the relative pronoun. Which sentence is that?

1. The girl who lives over there has betrayed me.
2. The girl who I love so much has betrayed me.
3. The girl, who lives over there, has betrayed me.

The girl who I love so much has betrayed me.

Hier kun je WHO weglaten, omdat het niet het onderwerp in de bijzin is. "I"is al het onderwerp.

In de andere twee zinnen is WHO het onderwerp van de bijzin.
