ALASKA

Alaska is one of the states of the United States. The state borders Canada to the east and is further surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, the Bering Sea and the Arctic Ocean. The capital of Alaska is Juneau, but Anchorage is the state's largest city.

Alaska is the largest state in the USA. Alaska is  about the same size as Spain, France, Germany and the Benelux combined. With a population of nearly 800,000, Alaska is the state with the fourth smallest population in the US.

Alaska was sold by Russia to the United States on March 30, 1867 for $ 7.2 million.
