What is a Season?

1. A season is one of four divisions of a year.
2. Each season has its own unique weather pattern and daylight hours.
3. Seasons change due to the position of the Earth in regards to the sun. 
4. Seasons occur in a specific order.

First comes Spring

Then comes Summer

Next 

comes Autumn

Last 

comes Winter

• Temperature begins to rise
• Flowers, Grass, and Plants begin to grow
• Trees begin to bud
• Days begin to get longer

Summer

Facts about Summer

• Weather gets warmer
• Days are longer and nights are shorter
• Plants and animals change and grow
• Hurricanes occur during the summer months

Autumn or Fall

• Temperature gets cooler
• Leaves begin to change color and fall off trees
• Days begin to get shorter

Winter

• Temperature is now cold
• Snow and Icy weather
