1. Staat in de zin een signaalwoord van FYNE JAS? -->  Present Perfect      

2. Staat er in de zin een verledensaanduiding? 

Zo ja? --> is het een actie die bezig was in de verleden tijd? Dan gebruik je de Past Continuous (signaalwoord bv while, as, when)

3. Is het een actie die iets anders onderbreekt in de vt of is het iets dat is afgesloten? Dan gebruik je de Past Simple
