WH-Questions past simple
You start the WH-questions in the past simple with a question word: 
Who - what - where - when - how - why
Followed by the subject (I - you - the dog) 
Followed by DID 
followed by a whole verb and the rest of the sentence. 
For example: 
Where did you go yesterday? 
What did she do last week?
