Grammar!

To make a question or a negation (ontkennende zin) in the Past Simple we need HELP.

Help in the form of an auxiliary verb (HULP werkwoord).

DO we know which one?

Past simple

Did you know you use the verb TO DO in the past simple?

A: Yes, I knew.

B: No, I didn't know.

Past simple

Examples:

Did you ride your bike to school this morning?

Prefix

A prefix (voorvoegsel) can be put in front of a word to change its meaning.

For instance:

To like - to DISlike

Friendly - UNfriendly
