First listening

Before listening:

A conversation between two people.

They meet for the first time.

• What kind of questions could you ask a person if you meet them for the first time?

First listening

Listen and write the answers:

• Where does this conversation take place?
• What is the girl's name?
• Where was the girl born?
• What does the girl's father do for a living?
• Where does the girl's mother work?

Second listening

Red, White: Check your answers.

Blue: Work in pairs and listen carefully. Rewrite the conversation. Tip: write the important words as you are listening. 

Pair check

Red, white: check the answers with your neighbour.

Blue: finish writing the conversation.

Review

• What was the conversation about?
• What did you understand the second time that you didn't hear the first time?
