Present continuous

You use the present continuous to say that something is happening right now. 

am / are / is + werkwoord + ing

How do you make a present continuous?

I am working                                         We are working

You are working                                   You are working

He is working                                        They are working

She is working                                       It is working

Words that end in-e (bijv. make) --> make - making NOT makeing

Words that end with a vowel+ consonant ( klinker en medeklinker) --> stop - stopping 

Words that end in ie --> lie - lying 

Possesive: 's/ '/ of 

• You add 's for a person, animal, country or organisation.

For night, day, month and year you also add 's. 

Example: That is Thomas's bike. 

• ' is used when the word is a plural that ends in s. 

Example: elephant - these elephants' feet are big. 

Possesive: 's/ '/ of 

• You add of for things that are not people, animals, countries or organisations. 
• Example: The name of the ship is Triton.
